The casaWare Stainless Steel 32-Ounce Thermal French Press Coffee and Tea Maker (Black) appears to be a mid-sized, insulated French press option. Here’s a breakdown of its features to help you decide if it’s a good fit for you:
Pros:
- Double-Wall Insulation: This technology helps keep your coffee hot for longer, similar to a travel mug. This can be a plus if you enjoy hot coffee throughout your morning routine.
- Stainless Steel Build: Likely features a stainless steel carafe and frame for durability and a modern look. Stainless steel is generally more durable than glass carafes and may be easier to clean.
- Medium Capacity: Brews up to 32 ounces (around 4 cups) of coffee, ideal for a small group or 2-3 people.
- Black Finish: Offers a sleek and modern aesthetic that might complement various kitchen styles.
Cons:
- Limited Capacity: This French press might not be suitable for brewing large quantities of coffee for a crowd.
- Unknown Brand Reputation: casaWare might be a lesser-known brand compared to established French press manufacturers. Consider reading reviews to get a better sense of the quality and thermal performance of this specific model.
- Price: There isn’t enough information to determine the exact price point, but compare it to similar features (size, insulation, material) to see if it offers good value.
Overall, the casaWare Stainless Steel 32-Ounce Thermal French Press Coffee and Tea Maker could be a good option for those who prefer the durability and modern look of stainless steel, want a mid-sized insulated carafe, and prioritize keeping their coffee warm for a while. However, if you need a larger capacity for brewing coffee for more people, are on a tight budget, or prefer a well-known brand, you might want to consider other French press options.
Here are some additional things to consider when purchasing a French press coffee maker:
- Size: Consider how much coffee you typically brew at a time.
- Material: Stainless steel is durable but may affect the taste of coffee for some. Glass carafes are popular for a more neutral taste.
- Insulation: Decide if you want a French press with insulation to keep your coffee hot for longer.
- Ease of use: Look for a French press that is easy to clean and assemble.
- Price: Compare prices to similar French press options to see if it offers good value.
- Brand Reputation: Consider reading reviews from trusted sources to get a sense of the brand’s reputation and the quality of their French presses.
P. A –
Firstly, it looks amazing in my kitchen. A real talking point too. It’s also really well designed and well made. It has a rubber part on the base which aids stability. The handle is comfortable. The pour release button is a great idea. The double-walled feature really does keep the coffee hot for quite a while. I’ve not attempted to see if it stays hot for six hours as claimed but after 2.5 hours it was still hot upon pouring. It feels like a solid bit of kit.
I can’t really fault it. I have had a few grinds come through into the coffee, but that is only when trying to pour out the final dregs of coffee at the bottom of the pot. I’m seriously impressed with this. I hope it lasts me for many years as it is definitely my favourite item in the kitchen!
