- Drink flavored coffee regularly: The bulk bag offers a good amount of coffee at a lower price per unit.
- Want a convenient pre-ground option: Pre-ground coffee is quick and easy to use.
However, if you:
- Prefer the freshest possible coffee: Consider buying Dunkin’ Donuts French Vanilla whole beans (if available) and grinding them yourself for maximum freshness.
- Prefer natural flavors: This coffee likely uses artificial flavors.
- Want a very specific flavor profile: More information about the tasting notes or reviews would be helpful, especially regarding the strength and sweetness of the vanilla flavor.
- Use a brewing method requiring a specific grind size: The grind size is not specified.
Here are some additional things to consider:
- Grind Size: If you don’t use a drip machine or Moka Pot, you might want to consider whole bean Dunkin’ Donuts French Vanilla (if available) to grind for your specific needs.
- Storage: If you buy it, transfer the coffee to an airtight container to maintain freshness for as long as possible.
- Alternatives: Explore other flavored coffees with different flavors or brands. You can also look for flavored coffees that use natural flavors if that’s important to you.

But you know what? I’m hopelessly obsessed with this stuff. The vanilla aroma is overpowering and something that I’ve come to look forward to every morning, and yet once brewed the flavour is subtle – it doesn’t sweeten the coffee at all, but it’s there.
I think that you will get the best results from this coffee if you use an electric filter coffee machine – after all that’s what most americans use, therefore it’s been roasted and ground with filter machines in mind. I think you would probably get acceptable results with a cafetiere too. I tried it in a mokka pot for a laugh once, and while the results were ok I wouldn’t do it again.
Finally, while I would never normally encourage anyone to drink unnecessary alcohol, this tastes amazing with a dash of bourbon – a lovely pick me up after a cold walk on a winter’s day!
My only complaint is the price, but hey, it’s imported and so long as you can’t buy it in the shops here, it’s the only way to get it. My advice – if you are lucky enough to travel to the US – stock up when you’re there!
