The ØNSK Nespresso Compatible Pods Variety Pack sounds like an interesting option for you if you enjoy trying different coffees and use a Nespresso® Original machine that works with lungo and espresso capsules. Here’s a breakdown of the pros and cons to help you decide:
Pros:
- Nespresso® Original Compatible: Works with your Nespresso® Original machine for convenient use (double-check compatibility if unsure about your model).
- Variety Pack (Lungo & Espresso): Offers 20 Lungo capsules (for a longer coffee) and 20 Espresso capsules to explore different coffee strengths.
- Compostable Pods: Eco-friendly option if your local composting program accepts them.
- B-Corp Certified: Supports a company committed to social and environmental responsibility.
- Organic Coffee: May appeal to those who prefer organic ingredients.
- Roasted in Copenhagen: Suggests a focus on quality and potentially a unique taste profile.
Cons:
- Limited Description: Doesn’t mention specific flavor profiles for the Lungo or Espresso capsules. Reviews might be helpful for understanding the taste (acidity, bitterness, roast level).
- Unknown Intensity Level: The description doesn’t mention intensity levels for the Lungo or Espresso capsules. Reviews might mention this.
- Nespresso® Pod System Cost: Generally more expensive per cup compared to using fresh ground coffee.
Overall, the ØNSK Nespresso Compatible Pods Variety Pack could be a good option for you if:
- Use a Nespresso® Original machine: These pods are compatible with your machine (check for model compatibility).
- Enjoy Variety: You like trying different coffee strengths (Lungo and Espresso).
- Appreciate Eco-Friendly Options: You care about compostable pods.
- Support Ethical Companies: B-Corp certification indicates a commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
However, if you:
- Prefer specific flavors: More information about the tasting notes would be helpful. Reviews can offer insights.
- Need to know exact strength: The description doesn’t mention intensity levels. Reviews might be helpful here.
- Are on a tight budget: Capsule coffee systems are generally more expensive than fresh ground coffee.
Here are some additional things to consider:
- Research Online Reviews: See what other users mention about the taste profile (acidity, bitterness, roast level) for both Lungo and Espresso capsules, and how easy it is to use the capsules.
- Alternatives: Explore other Nespresso® compatible variety packs with more detailed descriptions or single-origin capsules for a more specific flavor experience. You might also find value packs from other brands that offer similar variety packs at a potentially lower cost per capsule. Consider refillable pod options for your Nespresso® machine if you desire greater control over the coffee (strength, roast), potentially a lower cost per cup, and are even more eco-conscious about single-use capsules. Refillable pods sometimes allow you to experiment with your own preferred coffee beans.

I consider this a huge shame as the one cup I was able to have was fantastic! Definitely recommend the product as long as you have a genuine Nespresso machine, but be wary of off-brand or converters that have a different internal mechanism as they could pose a big risk.

I love the sustainable practice and biodegradable pods. I love the taste and flavour of the coffee
Frustratingly, they’re completely incompatible with a nespresso machine. The prongs inside the machine are unable to pierce the filter and the hot coffee ends up draining and dribbling down through the body of the machine and causes a massive mucky puddle. I’ve tried slamming the lever shut, closing gently, persisting the pods, using them dry. Nothing works apart from piercing the filter myself with a knife before I put them in the machine. I don’t have this issue with the aluminium pods
