The Nescafe Gold Blend Instant Coffee 100g (Pack of 6) sounds like a versatile and convenient option for you if you enjoy a smooth and readily available instant coffee at a potentially lower price per cup compared to buying smaller containers. Here’s a breakdown of the pros and cons to help you decide:
Pros:
- Smooth and Rich Taste (according to product description): This describes a pleasant and well-rounded coffee flavor that many instant coffee drinkers enjoy.
- Nescafe Gold Blend: A well-known brand known for consistent quality and smooth taste.
- Instant Coffee: Very quick and easy to prepare, just add hot water and stir.
- Pack of 6 (100g each): Offers a good amount of instant coffee for multiple servings, potentially reducing the cost per cup compared to smaller packs.
- 100% Responsibly Sourced Coffee (Likely): Nescafe promotes responsible sourcing practices, so it’s likely this applies to this product as well (check packaging to confirm).
Cons:
- Limited Flavor Description: “Smooth and Rich” is a general description. Reviews might be helpful for a more complete picture of the taste (acidity, bitterness).
- Instant Coffee Taste: May not offer the same depth and complexity of flavor as freshly brewed coffee.
- Potentially More Expensive Per Cup Than Fresh Coffee: While the upfront cost per pack is lower, it can be more expensive per cup compared to brewing fresh ground coffee, especially if you use a lot of instant coffee per serving.
Overall, the Nescafe Gold Blend Instant Coffee 100g (Pack of 6) could be a good option for you if:
- Enjoy convenient coffee: You appreciate the ease and speed of instant coffee.
- Prefer a smoother taste profile: You enjoy instant coffees described as smooth and rich.
- Interested in ethical sourcing (Likely): Nescafe is known for responsible sourcing practices.
- Drink coffee regularly: The pack of 6 offers a longer supply for frequent coffee drinkers.
However, if you:
- Prioritize a complex flavor profile: Freshly brewed coffee offers a richer taste experience with more specific flavor notes.
- Are on a tight budget and only drink coffee occasionally: A smaller container might be more practical to avoid waste.
Here are some additional things to consider:
- Research Online Reviews: See what other users mention about the taste profile (acidity, bitterness) and how it compares to other instant coffees.
- Fresh Ground Coffee Alternative: If you’re open to fresh ground coffee and have a grinder, it can be a more cost-effective option in the long run, especially if you buy whole beans. However, it requires more preparation time compared to instant coffee.
- Storage: Consider how you’ll store the opened jars to maintain freshness over time (e.g., airtight container in a cool, dark place).

The price of 100g jars yo-yo’s between £2.50 and £6.00 so we always stock up when a supermarket runs an offer. Amazon have had Cap C available for under £2.50 for some weeks now so we have a cupboard full and are hoping that the same offer will pop up for `Alta `Rica!
