The Bubble Tea Kit Gift Box by Bobalife sounds like a fun and delicious gift for someone who loves bubble tea, or for someone who wants to try making it at home for the first time. Here’s a breakdown of the pros and cons to help you decide:
Pros
- Variety of Flavors: This kit includes four fruit-flavored syrups (strawberry, apple, pineapple, and passion fruit) offering a variety to choose from.
- Makes 12 Drinks: Provides enough supplies for multiple people to enjoy bubble tea, or for the recipient to experiment with different flavor combinations.
- Vegan and Gluten-Free: Suitable for people with dietary restrictions.
- Easy and Convenient: A great way to enjoy bubble tea at home without having to go to a boba shop.
- Fun Activity: Can be a fun activity to do with friends or family.
Cons
- Limited Customization: While it offers four flavors, this kit doesn’t include milk tea powder or other customization options found in boba shops.
- Missing Tapioca Pearls: The tapioca pearls, also known as boba, are not included, so you would need to purchase them separately.
- Price: While potentially cheaper than buying bubble tea multiple times at a shop, the upfront cost of the kit might be a consideration.
Overall, the Bubble Tea Kit Gift Box by Bobalife could be a good option for you if:
- You’re looking for a fun and unique gift: This is a great gift for someone who loves bubble tea or enjoys trying new things.
- The recipient enjoys fruity flavors: The included syrups offer a variety of fruity options.
- Convenience is a plus: Making bubble tea at home can be more convenient than going to a boba shop.
However, if you:
- Want a fully customizable bubble tea experience: This kit might be limiting if the recipient prefers a wider variety of flavors or milk tea options.
- Are on a tight budget: The upfront cost of the kit might be more than you want to spend.
Here are some additional things to consider:
- Read Online Reviews: See what other users mention about the taste of the syrups and the ease of use of the kit.
- Tapioca Pearls: You’ll need to purchase tapioca pearls separately. There are different varieties available, such as white tapioca pearls, black tapioca pearls, and popping boba.
- Milk or Tea Base: The kit doesn’t include milk or tea base. You can use milk, creamer, or brewed black or green tea, depending on your preference.
I hope this helps you decide whether the Bubble Tea Kit Gift Box by Bobalife is a good choice for you!

The presentation of the package is lovely but the wood shaving packaging is very dusty – not a concern to my health but could be irritating to others. I was a bit confused by the instructions (even though they seemed easy to follow), possibly having a slow brain day! It asks you to mix ingredients with a cocktail shaker – which I do not own – but I’ve found that a decent stir with the straw will do the trick.
The product photos show the drinks with their cup caps but caps are not included in the box (they are not listed in the product description so they weren’t falsely advertising) but the images did lead me to believe there would be caps.
I really appreciate the sturdiness of the straws included, I have used the same cup and straw for the last 3 drinks I had and there’s no sign of wear at all! The note you receive with the box is helpful with its recommended combinations.
Overall a good quality product with very tasty drinks – just wish I got my passionfruit boba! 🙁
